Community Guidelines
Keep ChatHalls thoughtful, respectful, and safe.
Last updated: October 7, 2026
ChatHalls gives people a small space to say what they mean. That only works when people can participate without being threatened, harassed, exploited, or buried in spam.
These rules apply to registered users, anonymous visitors, posts, profile information, and uploaded images.
Be human
Disagreement is allowed. Criticism is allowed. Strong opinions are allowed. Targeted abuse, threats, exploitation, and deliberate attempts to make the community unsafe are not.
What is not allowed
Threats and violence
Do not threaten, encourage, celebrate, or coordinate violence or serious physical harm.
Hate and targeted harassment
Do not attack, dehumanize, or target people based on protected characteristics, and do not engage in sustained or severe harassment.
Sexual or explicit material
Do not post pornography, explicit sexual content, sexual exploitation, or sexually abusive material.
Private information
Do not publish another person's private or sensitive information without permission, including information that could be used to locate, threaten, or exploit them.
Illegal or dangerous activity
Do not use ChatHalls to facilitate serious illegal activity, exploitation, fraud, or dangerous wrongdoing.
Spam and manipulation
Do not flood the service with repetitive posts, automated submissions, scams, deceptive links, engagement manipulation, or other disruptive behavior.
Impersonation
Do not deceptively impersonate another person, organization, or public entity.
Abusive profile images
Custom profile images must follow the same safety rules as posts and may remain unavailable while awaiting review.
Language filtering
ChatHalls may automatically mask certain profanity while allowing the underlying thought to be published.
More serious abusive, hateful, threatening, sexual, privacy-invasive, or spam content may be rejected instead of published.
Reporting content
Signed-in users may report content they believe violates these rules. Reports should be made in good faith and should not be used to harass other users or manipulate moderation decisions.
Moderation
ChatHalls may use automated systems and human review to enforce these Guidelines.
Depending on the situation, content may be masked, rejected, removed, restored, or otherwise restricted. Accounts may also be suspended when necessary.
Context matters, and no automated moderation system is perfect. We may refine these rules and enforcement systems over time.
Emergency situations
ChatHalls is not an emergency service. If you believe someone is in immediate danger, contact the appropriate local emergency services rather than relying on a ChatHalls report.
